Note: I did not change device, my wife has an iPhone but the app isn't installed on it. I only play the game on my iPad. Yet the game center account is installed on both devices.

I did not have any FB account, created one, but doesn't work

Facebook changed the way to authorize the OAuth for login, so if you continue to have the issue try :
- Enter credentials from the settings of the phone in Facebook settings

If you continue to have issue, tell me and i will set PASSED the mission for you in the database.
