Hi Jak this is the first time i see an user notice this bug (if it is).
Have you tried to go settings and change the keyboard or the mouse?
When you start the game wait the Game Center recognize you or it can flash sometimes.
We send a update to Apple 1 week ago, and we are waiting they publish it (they are much slower than 3 months ago).
Let me know if with the new update it work well.
Anyway i will give a look to the code to se the perfect reset when a player lose.
