I am enjoying the game, but I have found a few things that do not seem to work the way I think you intended.
1. If you are in the process of sending a virus and you click on either hardware list, the timer seems to freeze, and then the send command stops working. The only way to fix it seems to be closing the connection and trying it again.
2. If you are in the process of sending a virus, and you click on the command area and either start typing or press one of the up or down arrows, it erases the text line that says you are sending the virus
3. It is possible to starting sending a virus, and to then while the first send is in progress, type the command and send the virus again. This does reset the timer back to 60s, but maybe it should not let you do anything till the send command finishes
4. send tremor works, but every virus I have purchased since: all the way to lvl 39, do not seem to work, or work properly.
I have never had stoler (v1.0 or v2.0) complete successfully
5. I am stuck on mission 24, I think because I had sent tremor before I had tried mission 24, nothing I seem to do, will let me finish that mission
A. Have you thought about maybe changing how the missions test if they are done? Instead of having to start each mission, which I'm assuming you check before you test if the mission is completed.
B. Maybe just having the missions complete when you have accomplished what they need completed, and change smission to dmission to "Display Mission Help" which would display what is now displayed with cmission
6. Even though the hardware list displays that i have the "SD Card" activated, when I do a "sys" command, it shows that I have "SD CARD: NONE"
7. The speed of your hardware, and/or modem do not seem to effect anything. I know that the speed text is displayed on the screen seems quicker, but shouldn't your modem and system also effect how long it takes ot send a virus/file?
8. Shouldn't I have a file on my system per each command I can call?
i.e. home/system/audio - has all the audio commands ( autoplay, mplay, etc )
home/system/net - has all the network commands ( connect, internet, passcrack, etc )
home/system/ - has all the system commands ( mem, sys, syspass, etc )
9. When downgrading hardware, you still need to have more power available then the item you are activating:
i.e. If your current processor uses 150W and your choosing to activate the 50W processor, you still need 50W free power to do it.
A couple ideas for the game:
1. You already have it so that you can create and edit files, so maybe set it so that the files have a special tag if they are executable, and then it runs the command that is inside the file. that way if you renamed a file, or moved a file like "poker" it would still work.
2. Could you allow us to edit the autoexec file, so we could put commands in there that we wish to run every time we login
i.e. { Contents of autoexec file }
netinfo 999.999.999.0
pause
sys
connect 999.999.999.0
* And it would run each command seperatly *
3. if you did my #2, you could also make it so we could make other "batch" files, like autoexec, which would let us automate a few of the things we do
4. instead of having "startchat" and "stopchat", have the commands "showchat", "sendchat"
i.e.
showchat - displays the current chat messages to the screen
sendmsg [MSG] - would send the message to the chat server
* this could work well with batch files, and viruses and such where you could create a file which when sent to another user, could modify his autoexec file to send a message to the chat window everytime the user logged in *
And just a quick question, besides "send tremor", is there any other commands that work while connected to another player/server?
