The lines become lethal Aether Beams roughly two seconds later and apply heavy continuous lightning damage to anyone standing on them. The safe spaces are diamond-shaped gaps between the grid lines. Pick the nearest one, move to its center, and stay there. Trying to squeeze in one extra attack or repeatedly rolling through the pattern is where most clean runs fall apart. A mobile build has an easier time reaching a safe diamond, but even slow melee can survive consistently by reacting to the telegraph instead of reacting after the beams start.
Shield breaks are a target-priority check

At 75% and 25% health, the Architect moves to the northern platform and gains an absolute Invincibility Shield. Eastern and western portals spawn Architect Constructs that channel energy into it, so the boss itself is not the target until both constructs are down. Melee characters should close on the western construct first with Leap Slam, Roll, or their usual mobility option, burst it, then cross to the east. Ranged builds can work from the southern quadrant, where piercing attacks or area spells may hit both constructs while reducing exposure to their mini-projectiles. Don't blow every flask before this transition; arriving with no recovery or mitigation is a common way to lose momentum.
